Reasons to be happy: weeks 21 & 22

Well, as of late it's been a bit difficult to find things to be happy about. Trying to find time to pack, paint and move in with the parents, job being cut from full time to part time, etc = a bit of stress. but, nonetheless, there are several things to remain happy about:

*at least i still have a job. two in fact. they may be part time, and i may struggle for awhile, but some people don't even have one job, so i think i'm pretty lucky on that front.
* i was planning to put my two weeks in at macys, but didn't. timing is everything!
*my dad's birthday! he turned 60 last week!
*supportive family and friends. I will never make it through this stress without them in my life! i love them!
*Iced white chocolate mocha-it's getting me through this day.
*jessa is coming to town this weekend! yay!
*twins game with a cute boy tomorrow :)

Reasons to be happy: week 19

*getting ready for WEFEST
*2-day work weeks
*going for a boat ride on a beautiful evening
*wishing a friend good luck in her new adventures
*hanging out with my parents
*it's almost time for WEFEST!
*feeling accomplished at the end of a hectic day of work

Reasons to be happy: week 18

*laying in the sun
*getting some things accomplished around the apartment
*dinner and a movie for mom's bday
*tuesday night dinner!
*hash tag DQ cake
*some weather that was actually nice and bearable
*emailing excitedly about wefest
*wedding invites
*planning jessica's trip to the cities

Reasons to be happy: week 17

*annual BWCA trip
*waterfalls
*beautiful weather
*good converstaions
*ice cream
*a comfy bed
*a nice looong shower
*HP7 pt2
*movie theater popcorn
*air conditioning
*a cuddley kitty
*laughing at the things employees think they can ask or say
*texting with a cute boy

Reasons to be happy: week 15

*LASIK!!!
*my parents still take care of me even though i'm a grown woman
*my pets at my parents
*hanging out at the zoo in ridiculous heat and everyone still having a great attitude
*caribou coffee
*anna and her little ladies being in town for so long and getting to see them A LOT!
*Twins game and bar hopping after
*getting off work early
*beautiful weather
*My fave holiday: 4th of July!
*fireworks
*boating
*water fights
*being able to see without contacts or glasses

Reasons to be happy: weeks 12 and 13

apparently i forgot to post last week...that would be because work is crazy this time of year! so here's two weeks worth of things to be happy about!

*Tower Days Parade-reliving memories of marching band.
*being the loudest people in the crowd at the parade and getting lots of free stuff!
*more late night chats with old friends
*Sleeping in
*cute little ice cream shops
*lasik consultation! after two weeks of wearing glasses, i got the ok to get lasik!
*first twins game!
*free cowboy hats
*when a night that was meant to end early doesn't
*boating
*crazy nicknames, sashes, glasses, etc
*dinner with my parents
*friendly chats with al
*summery activities
*using a cool camera

Reasons to be happy: Week 11

*school's out for summer!
*happy hour
*meeting new people
*bar patios
*bonfires
*games with friends
*being outside in gorgeous weather
*impromptu barbeque
*surprinsingly friendly strangers
*the west metro...i miss living there!
*dating!

Reasons to be happy: week 9

*only having to work 11 hours, when i thought it would be 12!
*pizza and ice cream for lunch
*a relaxing night at home watching movies
*texting someone to send them a little happiness too
*genuinly liking work and coworkers
*putting myself out there and seeing/feeling the benefits
*a movie with mom and grandma
*a home-cooked meal
*waking up cheerful on a monday
*friendly guy at caribou
*shopping!

Reasons to be happy: week 8

*the good feeling you get from exercize
*Spending the day in Stillwater with great friends
*rekindleing old friendships
*beautiful weather
*new friends
*feeling appreciated
*the trees are finally green
*a leisurely drive with the windows down on a beautiful day...especially when it was to avoid traffic!

Reasons to be happy: week 7

*getting back in the saddle, as they say
*the weather finally being nice enough to allow sitting on a rooftop for dinner/drinks
*a good cardio workout
*lots of yummy food for teacher appreciation week

*bbq on the patio
*summer-like weather
*fresh lines painted on Hennepin/Lyndale so crazy people actually know where to drive

*freshly cleaned make-up brushes...so soft :)
*freshly colored hair
*surprise turtle cheesecake
*running into friends out of the blue
*friendly strangers
*karaoke
*themed parties
*shopping with a 20% discount and a 25% off coupon
*shopping in general
*overcoming a small fear, in hopes of it leading to overcoming larger fears.

Reasons to be happy: week 5

*kabobs! the word is fun to say, they look really pretty, and they taste amazing!
*new glee.
*new crush on Adam Pally...blue eyes and dark hair = amazing!
*getting the reaction i was hoping for but not expecting when sharing big news.
*Killer Bunnies!
*a late night talk with an old friend that lasted hours but felt like minutes.
*ice cream
*sleeping in
*Twins winning (finally!)
*The fact that it's "Hug an Australian" Day! I miss my aussies!

Reasons to be happy: week 4

*Being able to blog from my phone.
*3rd graders attempting to talk in "Leprechaun" accents.
*Seeing Love and Theft after a year and a half...i missed those boys!!
*Harry Potter 7 pt 1 coming out on Dvd!
*friends.
*a message from students on my white board at school.
*coworker telling me i'm probably the only person that wakes up from fainting with a smile on my face (i fainted at macys last weekend) because i'm always in a good mood.
*a customer telling me i have the most beautiful eyes and that they have a sparkle to them.
*laughing at a funny movie.
*having a day off.
*friends. i know that's already in the list, but they were important this week!
*movie theater popcorn.
*drinks with an old friend.
*memories.
*coming home to a clean apartment.
*game night.

Reasons to be happy: week 3

well, posting every day was starting to get a bit tedious. so, instead I'll post weekly and include things from as many days as possible!

Things that made me happy this week:

Flower Show at Macys
Walking Downtown in lovely weather
relaxing and watching the TWINS!
Celebrating a birthday
Napping
Watching greys season 1
waking up on Monday in the best mood ever
getting a lot accomplished at work the past few days
Emily was able to email me TWICE today!

Reasons to be happy: day 10

Last night I got to see Anna, Kaarin, and Jeremy. I hadn't seen them all in MONTHS. It was a nice way to spend a friday night.

for today, I had a mediocre list thought out as it's been a funk filled few days...but tonight my bestie asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding!!! i don't think i could be any happier at the moment!

Reasons to be happy: day 8

*fruit! i had some good fruit for breaky this morning.
*i mailed off my cotton swabs to "be the match". I will soon be on the list to possibly save a life!
*discovered that how I met you mother is on for an hour AFTER an hour of friends...my fave shows on back to back!!!

Reasons to be happy: day 7

*3pm cup of coffee...just the pick me up i needed today!
*it's tuesday...tuesday night dinners are my favorite part of the week!
*i went to barnes and noble. i love books. and had a yummy stuffed pretzel!

Happy things: Days 3-6

whoops! fell behind a few days again!

Friday:
Today I got to have dinner with Cindi!

Saturday:
I worked at the Macy's Flower Show "soft opening" and got to stare at beautiful blue orchids all day!

Sunday:
Saw many cute kids and families enjoying a day at the Flower Show.
Felt like my employers really trust me to get things done and appreciate the work I do.
After a busy day at work, I snuggled with my kitty while watching a movie.

Monday:
Spent the evening relaxing and reading a book.
Chatted with a friend online.

365 Project

i don't often make resolutions as i know i will just break them. instead i try to discover more about myself throughout the year. things i discover i don't like, i try to change. if i find qualities in others i wish i had, i try to put new behaviors into practice. this year however, i'd love to try to do the 365 project; a photo every day. maybe this will bring me closer to being the photographer i'd love to become. so, here are photos 1 and 2:
